Female drug suspect escapes Quezon City precinct
MANILA, Philippines — A female detainee facing non-bailable drug charges was able to escape through the bathroom window of a police precinct in Novaliches, Quezon City on Saturday.
Joy Aguila, 26, who was arrested in a drug bust on Sept. 21, is now the subject of a manhunt after she escaped from the Police Community Precinct 3 (PCP 3) in Barangay Sauyo at around 5:30 p.m.
Investigation disclosed that Aguila had asked permission from the desk officer to go to the toilet, which was outside the detention cell, and removing the steel grills of the window by force.
Female detainees are currently detained at the PCP 3, headed by Senior Inspector Dennis Francisco, instead of the Novaliches police station building, which is currently undergoing repairs.
