Robertzon Ramirez - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Chairman Danny Lim is asking netizens to help him rid the agency of all forms of corruption.

In a 129-second video posted on his official Facebook page General Danny Lim, the MMDA chief – a retired military general – said he cannot see his subordinates’ actions all the time and he needs the public’s cooperation.

The video message has garnered more than 10,000 reactions and 908 comments. It was viewed more than 172,000 times and shared more than 1,500 times since it was posted last week.

Motorists can send a private report through his Facebook page, he said, adding that it would be better if they can attach photos or videos.

He also assured that complaints will be dealt with accordingly and erring MMDA personnel will be sanctioned, depending on the gravity of the offense committed, and after a thorough investigation of the case.

Lim’s video elicited mixed reactions from netizens, with many complaining about the worsening traffic conditions in Metro Manila.
