2 cops sacked over bar shooting

MANILA, Philippines -  Two Manila police officers have been relieved from their posts for allegedly firing their guns in a videoke bar.

Sacked were Senior Police Officer 2 Ryan Ymzon Marcelo and PO1 Ramadas Tonducan Mucas, assigned with the Special Weapons and Tactics unit of the Manila Police District.

National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) chief Director Oscar Albayalde signed the relief orders of Marcelo and Mucas on Tuesday.

The two have been reassigned to the NCRPO Regional Personnel Holding and Accounting Unit while their criminal and administrative cases are being heard, Albayalde said.
