10 drug suspects fall in stings
MANILA, Philippines - At least 10 drug suspects, including a family of four, were arrested by police in separate operations in Caloocan and Manila on Tuesday night.
Anti-narcotics operatives apprehended Freddie de Guzman Sr., his wife Angelica Ingaran and their sons Freddie Jr. and Zaldy in a drug sting at their house in Barangay 59, Caloocan at past 11 p.m.
The De Guzmans allegedly yielded 10 grams of shabu worth P50,000.
Police said they conducted an operation against the suspects after receiving information that they were allegedly pushing drugs.
In Manila, six suspected drug pushers were collared in Sta. Cruz and Malate.
They were Martin Vandong, 28; Wendy Castillo, 24; Marnico Gampis Jr., 45; Mary Jane Bautista 34, and two minors.
Police said they recovered from the suspects 18 sachets of shabu, drug paraphernalia and the marked money.
The suspects are being held by police on drug charges.
