Messenger claims share of P15.8-M lotto pot
MANILA, Philippines - A 45-year-old messenger from Quezon City has claimed his share of the P15.8-million jackpot of the 6/45 Mega Lotto’s May 13 draw, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) announced yesterday.
The winner, a single father of two, derived the winning combination, 04-05-10-18-25-29, from the birthdates of family members and has been a lotto player for the past 10 years, said Jose Ferdinand Rojas II, PCSO general manager.
The messenger plans to buy a house, invest in a business and save the rest for his children’s future, Rojas said. He gave the messenger a check for P7.9 million, representing half of the jackpot.
The other half had been claimed by a 35-year-old male factory worker from Cavite, Rojas said.
