Man, 61, shoots self in Quezon City

MANILA, Philippines – A 61-year-old man died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head in Quezon City Tuesday morning.

Roger Balasa allegedly shot himself at around 8 a.m. at his home in Barangay Holy Spirit, police said.

Balasa’s daughter, Annie Para, told police she heard a gunshot from her father’s room.

Para found her father bloodied and rushed him to the General Malvar Hospital where he died at 11 p.m.
