Man collapses, dies at NAIA

MANILA, Philippines - A 55-year-old man who was about to meet a passenger arriving at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 2 collapsed and died Friday morning.

Doctors and nurses at the airport clinic identified the man through his driver’s license as Carlos Yee Legara of Pasay City, who collapsed before 9 a.m. on Friday.

Witnesses said Legara was standing beside them when he suddenly collapsed and hit his head on a chair. 

Doctors said they have yet to determine Legara’s cause of death.

According to initial reports, Legara died while being treated at the airport clinic.

Police officers went to the address listed on Legara’s license to notify his relatives.
