Glitches hit US embassy

MANILA, Philippines - The US embassy in Manila is experiencing technical problems with its passport and visa system.

“The issue is worldwide and not specific to any particular country, citizenship document or visa category,” it said yesterday.

The Bureau of Consular Affairs is working to correct the problem and expects the system to be operational at the soonest time possible.

“The embassy in Manila is monitoring the situation, and we apologize to applicants who may experience delays,” it said.
