Blackout. The signal blackout in Cebu City as part of the security measures implemented for #Sinulog2017 has brought out the creativity in some netizens. Though some were obviously disappointed by the move, others opted to come up with jokes about it.

Treat. One Facebook user, for instance, wrote in his timeline: “Manglibre ko’g pagkaon karong Domingo. (I will treat anyone food this Sunday).” But he continued: “Mo-text lang ko ninyo (I will just send you a text message).”
