Fire hits ex-PCSO chief’s ancestral home
MANILA, Philippines - Fire struck an ancestral home previously owned by former Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) chair Margarita Juico in Quezon City yesterday morning.
Arson probers said the fire broke out at the house along Roosevelt Avenue in Barangay Paraiso at around 9:30 a.m.
The blaze, which reached the third alarm, was put out after one hour.
City fire marshal Senior Superintendent Manuel Manuel said damage to property was estimated at P500,000.
Manuel said they have yet to establish the cause of the fire.
The house, currently owned by Jose Acuzar of San Jose Builders, was built by National Artist for Architecture Pablo Antonio.
