Bike sharing? More like bike stealing
Not feasible. After seeing the bike-sharing program work in some foreign cities, a Filipino suggested it be implemented here as one way to avoid traffic congestion.
How it works is simple. First, a person enrolls in the bike-sharing program. This will give him or her access to bikes locked in racks in different areas in the city. He or she can use the bike to pedal to the next rack where the bike is locked in and another one can be chosen.
Carefully spaced racks can make sure any route can be reached by bike instead of public transportation.
“Ay di g’yud na mogana diri,” his friend said, “ang bike biyaan nimo? Mawagtang g’yud na.”
