Vote buying
PAID: While election day is fast approaching, a local political party is holding mini-rallies in different areas of the city just to show that it has thousands of supporters. But The Ear has learned that many of the participants were just paid P500 to attend the rally to show that the group is more powerful than its opponent.
VOTE BUYING: Some uncrupulous voters are expecting that because of the intense rivalry of the candidates in some local government units, including in Cebu City, some of the politicians will be forced to engage in vote-buying at P1,000 per voter.
LAZY ENFORCER: An EAR informer has observed that a uniformed traffic enforcer always abandons his post and he stays inside a repair shop of a business establishment dealing motorcycles along D. Jakosalem Street. When asked, his fellow enforcer said, "untouchable" man kuno na siya."
