Whistles vs. bullies

WHISTLE. There is a public elementary school in Davao where the pupils carry in their pockets or bags whistles similar to those used by traffic policemen. An Ear source said they blow their whistles whenever they run into trouble with naughty elements including student bullies.

COPIED. Because of the idea's success in keeping naughty schoolmates away, many pupils in other schools have copied the idea. The whistle is considered a "weapon against school bullies," our Ear informer was told.
