UC, USJ-R jins top PTL-Cebu
CEBU, Philippines — The University of Cebu and University of San Jose Recoletos dominated their respective divisions in the Cebu leg of the 2017 Philippine Taekwondo League the other day at the SM City Consolacion.
UC swept the juniors division with its boys’ team defeating St. Cecilia’s College while Xanadu Taekwondo Team settled for bronze.
UC’s female jins also claimed the gold over Xanadu as Toledo Taekwondo bagged the bronze.
USJ-R, on the other hand, ruled the senior division with as its men’s team overpowered University of San Carlos while the University of the Visayas got the bronze.
In the distaff side, USJ-R outsmarted UV.
USJ-R’s Leandro Amang was named best player, while UC’s Sophia Labra snared the best female award.
USC, for its part, won the freestyle event over Toledo Taekwondo team while Avenger-Ateneo squad grabbed the bronze. (FREEMAN)
