'Battle for survival' in Architects' hoopla

CEBU, Philippines — Four teams will fight for dear life as they slug it out in the knockout quarterfinals of the Cebu Architects Basketball Club (CABC) 1st Corporate Cup this Sunday at the Benedicto College gym along A.S. Fortuna Street in Mandaue City.

Kalsi will take on Phelps Dodge in the first game at 1:45 p.m., while Davies Paints will mix it up with Boysen Paints in the main game at 3 p.m.

The winner of the Kalsi-Phelps duel will face next the Island Paints, while the victor of the Davies-Boysen clash will tackle Unitec Pipes in the semifinals slated on December 3.

Island Paints and Unitec Pipes both enjoy twice-to-beat incentives for being the top seeded teams in the classification round.
