CEBU, Philippines — For the second time in a row, Team Yamaha MW-323 was crowned as 'Team of the Year' for Vis-Min in the Shell V-Power Super Series 2017 organized by The Racing Line and Inside Racing.

"But this is not the only thing that the team is proud of. Through the support of Yahama Philippines, our riders also got a chance to race internationally.  And the whole team is very proud of our riders who not only performed very well in Thailand and Taiwan, they even won there," said team manager Yoy Solon.

Durraine Dan Carlos and Garry Cañeda, Jr. showcased their skills in Thailand while team captain Vingie Coloma saw action in Taiwan.

It was actually a tough season for the team especially at the start since the team’s chief mechanic Conciso “Raceling” Cañeda was still out of the country during the firsty leg.

Nevertheless, it did not discourage the team from aiming to be the best team for Vis-Min.

Team Yamaha MW-323 proved their dominance when they bested top riders from Luzon during the last leg of the Shell V-Power Super Series held at Kartzone race circuit.

Solon admitted that they are still completing the modifications for their new race bikes, which are Yamaha fuel injected motorcycles already - the Sniper 150, Vega Force i and Mio i.

"It’s not easy shifting from carburetor type to fuel injected. Other people just don’t know what the whole team sacrificed for glory, the time, the effort, the fearless driving of riders, and the sleepless moments of the mechanics and crew just to win races," said a teary-eyed Solon.  "It is not easy to win.  It takes patience and hardwork."

"To the fans and followers of the team who gave us strength and the will to pursue, we can never thank them enough for their trust and confidence," added Solon.

Team Yamaha MW-323's success was made possible through the support for Yamaha Philippines, Spec-V racing parts, Luqui Moly motorcycle oil, YSS suspensions, SSS sprockets and chains, KYT helmets (for Coloma and Carlos), LS2 helmets (for Cañeda), Motoworld, FDR tyres, Racingboy Philippines, Lite Shipping Corporation, JCAN paintworks, NCX pipes, and Nature’s Spring.
