200 bodybuilders to join Mr. and Ms. Phil-Asia tilt
CEBU, Philippines — Over 200 bodybuilders from nine countries across Asia are out to display their well-chiseled muscles in the Mr. and Ms. Phil-Asia International Bodybuilding Championships 2017 on September 29 at the JSU- PSU Mariners' Court, just a stone's throw away from the historic Fort San Pedro.
Led by host Philippines, Dennis Delgado of the organizing Workout Fitness Center said the rest of the competitors come from Korea, India, United Arab Emirates, Malaysia and Singapore.
Top Filipino musclemen from Kuwait and Dubai will also be coming over to the Queen City of the South to vie for top honors in the figure and fitness contest sanctioned by the Germany-based NAC International under the leadership of Harald Hoyler.
The one-day tilt features 17 categories: Master’s Class 2 & 1, Mr. Novice, Ms. Fitness, Juniors, Physique 2 & 1 in board shorts, Ms. Shape 2 & 1, Mr. Athletic 2 & 1, Ms. Figure, Ms. Physique, Men’s Bodybuilding Short, Medium and Tall, and Mixed pairs.
Staged in partnership with NAC Philippines under the flagship of Patrick Tan and the Samahan nang mga Barbelista sa Pilipinas with Engr. Jun Tanyag as president, Mr. and Ms. Phil-Asia also serves as a qualifier for the Mr. World 2018 that will be hosted by Cebu on May 13 to June 3 next year.. It marks for the first time that the event will take place in an Asian country.
