Spartans win at last; Eagles soar past Punishers in IBP caging
CEBU, Philippines - Juril Patiño and Mandy Majarocon each scored as the Spartans finally barged into the win column at the expense of the Dissenters, 66-56, in the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP)-Cebu Basketball League at the Capitol Parish Gym along Escario Street, Cebu City.
Ron Teodorico fired three 3-pointer of his 10 points, while Arl Lim chipped in six points and a dozen rebounds for the Spartans, who snapped out of their five-game jinx.
The Eagles, on the other hand, earned a share of the overall lead after they handed the Punishers their first loss, 65-60. They are now tied with their victims on identical 5-1 win-loss records.
In the other games, Prince Robles cashed in 13 points and 10 assists as the Rebels battled past the Paneros, 65-60, to jump to third place with a 4-2 slate, while the Sub Zero Idols improved to 3-3 after gunning down the Badboys, 62-50.
