Leylam FC grabs men’s title in Mr. Coffee football

CEBU, Philippines - Leylam Football Club clinched the men’s open trophy after a thrilling  2-1 victory over Suzuki FC in the 1st Mr.Coffee Football Cup the other day at the Don Bosco Technology Center in Barangay Punta Princesa, this city.

JR Potot scored the first goal for Leylam before Elmer Pacubas of Suzuki FC made it even.

Suzuki FC had a chance to finally steal the win but Frederick Alazas made a costly mistake a he deflected the ball to their own goal giving Leylam the win.

In the distaff side, Chicos FC claimed the crown after posting 15 points.

DBTC dominated four classes in the league-type tournament. DBTC bagged the under-11, under-13, under-17 and under-38 titles.

Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu, for its part, made a 1-2 finish in the under-15 division.  (FREEMAN)
