Boy drowns in Carcar pond

CEBU, Philippines - A five-year-old boy drowned in a pond in Sitio San Isidro, Barangay Perrelos, Carcar City, southern Cebu yesterday.

The victim was identified as Kurt Kenny Wamar, a resident of the aforementioned place.

Teresita Elguera, grandmother of the victim, told the police that the boy was swimming with his friends at a pond in their neighborhood around 2 p.m.

Wamar’s friends noticed that the victim disappeared suddenly.

It was already around 4 p.m. on the same day when they found Wamar’s body floating in the pond.

Wamar was rushed to the nearest hospital but was declared dead on arrival. (FREEMAN)
