Old, new faces to compose Quisumbing administration
CEBU, Philippines - The incoming administration in Mandaue City will be composed of new and old faces.
Mayor-elect Luigi Quisumbing said he will be bringing along new people but there will be veterans also on the team.
"I'm bring(ing) fresh and veteran faces at city hall," Quisumbing told reporters yesterday afternoon.
Among the new members of the incoming administration are lawyer Elaine Bathan, Jeany Eve Ynot, and Jessie Perez.
Bathan will be Quisumbing’s chief of staff while Ynot will replace Roger Paller as the city’s information officer. Perez was designated protocol officer.
The three were formally introduced to the media yesterday. Quisumbing said the other members of his team will be introduced tomorrow after his oath taking.
Quisumbing, however, said he will retain budget officer Giovanni Tianero because he will have a major part in the preparation of the 2017 annual budget of the city.
He assured that there will be no disruption in the delivery of basic services by the city government.
"There was smooth and effortless transition. So there is no interruption on July 1," Quisumbing said. (FREEMAN)
