PEOPLE PLACES - Flor Ynclino - Pilipino Star Ngayon

Good news for those who love to eat real good food. Why? Because Jason Atherton, well-known chef of London, will open his first restaurant in the Philippines. Yes, in Cebu! And Carla Yeung McKowen and husband Chris are partnering with Chef Jason to open their restaurant here at the newly-inaugurated MSY Tower I at the Cebu Business Park, Ayala. Oh, we're all agog to have this newsbit!

Jason Atherton has 3 Michelin-starred restaurants in London, not to mention he started working alongside great chefs including Pierre Koffman, Marco Pierre White, Nico Ladenis and Fernan Adria at el Bulli before joining Gordon Ramsay Group in 2001. After launching Maze in London and overseeing the opening of five more Maze restaurants globally, Jason left Gordon Ramsay Holdings to launch his own restaurant group - The Social Company.

Jason is married to a Cebuana, Irha Atherton. The restaurant in Cebu is expected to open on June 17, this year.
