For Cebuanos who have yet to experience it, what is SKY Alive?

CEBU, Philippines - Last March, SKY staged the SKY Alive!, the country’s first cable fair for families. It was also the biggest interactive exhibit of SKY’s partner channels, where their shows’ characters were brought to life.

SKY Alive! has since toured around Metro Manila malls. This is the first time it is being held outside Manila – at SM City Cebu’s Northwing Atrium until today.  

Channel partners include RTL CBS Entertainment, the network that brings popular entertainment and variety shows; as well as HBO, the premium cable and satellite television network.

Visitors at the SKY Alive! area can check out RTL CBS Entertainment’s booth of the “The Late, Late Show with James Corden” where they can take selfies.

It also has the Golden Globes booth, where visitors can also take selfies and capture their “winning moment” with a replica trophy.

At the “X factor UK” booth, visitors can live their fantasy of auditioning for the hit reality talent show and even get a copy of their audition performance.

Meanwhile, HBO brought “Westworld,” were visitors can also take photos with the show’s Mariposa Saloon and live out their wild west adventures or take their best or worst photo in an old time studio of Westworld’s central town “Sweetwater.”

In SKY’s 360-degree photo booth, you can have your photo taken with SKYcable’s TV characters.

 Visitors can also check out SKY’s demo of “One SKY” Services: SKYcable, SKYdirect, SKYbroadband, SKYmobi& SKY On Demand.

What’s more, SKY will bring Ivy Grace Paredes, the Davao del Sur native who impressed “X-Factor UK” judges (including Simon Cowell who hailed her “one of the best we’ve ever had”), but had to quit the contest due to visa issues. Paredes will entertain Cebuanos with a mini-concert at the SM City Cebu Northwing at six tonight. (FREEMAN)
