Lorde shuts down impatient fan

CEBU, Philippines - Lorde’s ability to remain true to herself is one of the characteristics fans love about her...and that’s precisely why she isn’t afraid to clap back on social media when people question her as an artist.

 In fact, earlier this week, a fan commented on the singer’s Instagram, asking, “Do you think we will ever get another album or should we just give up on you as an artist?”

 Granted, it’s apparent the fan is just tired of waiting for new music, eager for one of her favorite musicians to release something new. However, the 19-year-old “Royals” hit-maker couldn’t help but stand up for herself and her hard work.

 “Give up on me if you want to!,” the New Zealand native commented back on Instagram.

 “I’m an artist, I write a record when I have enough special stories to tell, and it’s all me, every melody, every lyric, not some team who just start the machine up every 18 months like clockwork,” the Grammy award winner added.

 “The record is written, we’re in the production stages now. I’ve worked like a dog for a year making this thing great for you guys.” (FREEMAN)
