Sassy Girl now a mom
CEBU, Philippines - South Korean actress Jun Jihyun gave birth to a baby boy early Wednesday morning, says a report from The Korea Herald.
It has been around four years since the star of the Asian hit 2001 romantic-comedy “My Sassy Girl” (one of the highest grossing Korean comedies of all time) got married.
According to her agency Culture Depot, 34-year-old Jun welcomed her first child at a hospital in Seoul. Both Jun and the baby are in good health.
One of the most in-demand celebrity endorsers in Korea, Jun married Choi Joon-hyuk in 2012. Choi, who works at the Bank of America’s Seoul branch, comes from a wealthy family. He is the son of renowned designer Lee Jung-woo and the grandson of Lee Young-hee, one of the most respected hanbok, or Korean traditional costume, designers in the country. Choi’s father runs one of the largest asset management companies here.
Jun has been on a break since appearing in the 2015 box office hit “Assassination.”
In the Philippines, Jun’s most recent series, “My Love from the Star,” was shown on GMA-7 and was a huge hit among viewers. (FREEMAN)
