Teener hurt in North Cotabato blast

NORTH COTABATO, Philippines– A teenager was seriously wounded in an explosion that rocked Midsayap town before dawn yesterday.

Hisnon Midpantao, 16, was in a pedicab when an improvised bomb planted under a barbecue grill along Quezon Avenue went off. He was brought to a hospital in Cotabato City for treatment.

There had been at least five bomb attacks in Maguindanao in the past week. Three Army soldiers were wounded in a roadside bombing in Mamasapano on Friday.
