PCOO iimbestigahan ang show ni Mocha sa casino

MANILA, Philippines – Inaalam na ng Presidential Communications Operations Office kung totoo ang mga ulat na nag-show si Assistant Secretary Esther Margaux "Mocha" Uson sa isang casino sa kabila ng pagbabawal sa mga empleyado ng gobyerno na pumunta sa mga pasugalan.

Sinabi ni Presidential Communications Secretary Martin Andanar na “looking into the matter" na ng kaniyang opisina ang show ni Uson kasama ang iba pang miyembro ng “Mocha Girls” sa Resorts World Manila kagabi.

Nakasaad sa website ng casino na tuwing Martes ang show ng Mocha Girls sa Bar 360.

Ipinagbabawal sa kautusan ng Office of the President ang pagpunta ng mga kawani ng gobyerno sa casino maliban na lamang kung ito ay isang official business.

“In view of its negative effect on the public perception of government service as a whole, the mere entry or presence of government officials and employees in a gambling casino shall be considered as conduct prejudicial to the best interest of the service, unless the same was in the performance of official duties and functions,” nakasaad sa kautusan na inilabas noong Setyembre 2016.

Sinabi naman ni Presidential Spokesperson Ernesto Abella na kailangan sundin ang kautusan kaya naman dapat imbestigahan ang show ni Uson.

"Policy needs to be complied with but, in this matter, it needs to be properly vetted," sabi ni Abella.
