Resort owner, partner killed in knife attack
LUCENA CITY, Philippines — A resort owner and his partner were found dead with multiple stab wounds in their bodies in Mauban, Quezon on Thursday morning.
The bodies of Nelson, 59, and Remy, 48, were found at past 5 a.m. at their house in Barangay Sadsaran.
Investigation showed a stay-out helper found the bodies when she arrived at the house to perform her duties.
The helper said she found Remy in the bathroom and Nelson in the bedroom.
Police said they arrested a suspect, identified only as Elmo during a follow-up operation in a nearby barangay.
The arresting team recovered from the suspect a gold ring, bladed weapon, jacket and a pair of pants believed used during the crime.
Probers are eyeing robbery as the motive for the killing as the victims’ wallets and phones were missing.
