Brenda Batuto (The Freeman) - October 27, 2013 - 12:00am

CEBU, Philippines - A dolphin was found dead in the sea waters of barangay Cansojong, Talisay City yesterday morning.

Bernador Perame of the Fishermen Sea and Ecological Care (FISECA) of  Talisay City told The Freeman yesterday that the dolphin was first found by fisherman Ricardo Sagaysay, 20, of barangay Tanke in the shallow waters, and took the sea mammal to deeper water after being told to do so.

But the following morning some residents in Cansojong saw birds feasting on it.

The dolphin had wounds on the head, tail, and fins when found.

Perame said BFAR personnel opened its stomach and took some samples to find out the cause of death.

FISECA personnel buried the dolphin. — (FREEMAN)
