Cebu Greats going back to their roots

CEBU, Philippines — Before heading to Asturias for an exhibition match, the Cebu Greats led by team owner Sam Lato, team manager Jhon Santos, coach Junthy Valenzuela, and assistasnt coach Dondon Hontiveros visited the Warehouse Sports Club in Barangay Canduman, Mandaue City.

They were warmly welcomed by Atty. Jessie Capoy and CSAS owner Ian Callet.

The Warehouse Sports Club will serve as the official training facility of the Cebu Greats for their home games in the next season of Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL).

“We’re really hoping that we can bring the team and play in Cebu soon,” said Lato.

“We wanted to have the home game last September, but it was cancelled due to time and logistics concerns. So moving forward, we are looking to host one next season,” Santos shared. — (FREEMAN)
