Caecent No-ot Magsumbol (The Freeman) - February 9, 2016 - 9:00am

CEBU, Philippines - It's all systems go for the sixth edition of the annual SM2SM Run on February 21 starting and ending at SM City Cebu grounds passing through SM Seaside City.

Cebuano celebrity Paul Jake Castillo, the main endorser of SM2SM Run, will take part in the race for the first time. The Rider Omega Pro triathlete though doesn't know yet what category he will be joining in.

Castillo and the rest of the 4,000 runners who have already registered for the race are aiming to take home the beautifully crafted finisher's medal.

SM Prime Holdings Vice President Marissa Fernan said the cost of each medal is more than the registration fee that runners paid for. Aside from medals, all finishers will receive loot bags filled with products from event sponsors.

During the awarding, Fernan said they will be raffling off six iphone6 and other valuable items to mark their sixth edition.

Over half a million pesos is at stake for the top performers.

The categories to be contested are the 3K, 6K, 12K and 21K. There will be separate class for the Filipino and foreign entries.

Those who are interested have only until February 15 to register.

Entry fee is pegged at P450 for the 3K and 6K, P650 for the 12K, and P800 for the 21K. Differently-abled persons and students will enjoy a P100 discount, while a group of 10 will get one free in all categories.—(FREEMAN)
