CEBU, Philippines — The Visayan Electric Company (VECO) and the Metropolitan Cebu Water District (MCWD) continue their recovery efforts following the devastation brought by Typhoon Tino.

VECO reported that as of noon yesterday, electricity has been restored to 490,525 customers, representing 95.73% of its total customer base.

VECO said that the following percentage of power restored in the following: San Fernando town (99.01%), Naga City (98.66%), Minglanilla (99.21%), Talisay City (94.25%), Cebu City (94.75%), Mandaue City (97.69%), Consolacion (98.05%), and Liloan (91.04%)

It added that utility crews continue around-the-clock operations to safely restore power to all affected areas.

Meanwhile, as of November 11, 2025, MCWD’s total water production has reached 205,500 cubic meters, or 75% of the normal daily output of 275,000 cubic meters.

It said that this includes 124,000 cu.m. from in-house sources and now 81,500 cu.m. from bulk water suppliers.

“MCWD continues to exert all efforts to restore full water service and provide reliable water to the public,” it said.

Both agencies thanked the public for their patience, understanding, and cooperation as they work to bring back to normal their respective operations within their franchise area. — (FREEMAN)
