Lapu-Lapu Development Council OKs P6.3 billion projects for 2025

CEBU, Philippines — The Lapu-Lapu City Development Council approved on Tuesday, March 5, a total of P6.3 billion worth of infrastructure projects and programs for 2025.

The biggest chunk came from the various infrastructure projects lined up by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) for next year. These include causeways, road repairs, and drainage projects amounting to P5.385 billion.

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has also proposed a total of P412.615 million for various programs under the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO).

An amount of P362.825 million has been proposed by the Department of Health (DOH) for various projects, including the construction of a super health center and cold room in Barangay Basak and the phase 5 of the Lapu-Lapu City District Hospital.

The Department of Information and Communication Technology (DICT) also proposed a total of P63 million worth of projects in Lapu-Lapu for next year. The Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) has P8,193,000 worth of projects to be implemented in 2025.

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) says it has P4,725,662 while the Department of Environment and Natural Resources-Environmental Management Bureau (DENR-EMB) has P63,992,000 allocated for their projects.
