CEBU, Philippines - An alleged ex-convict man died after an unidentified assailant shot him several times past 8 a.m. yesterday morning in Barangay Talavera, Toledo City.

Romulo Sejuela, 32, died after he sustained multiple gunshot wounds on his body.

Police Officer 2 Carlo Barluado, desk officer of the Toledo City Police, said that the victim was previously imprisoned and convicted for the crime of frustrated murder.

He said that at past 8 a.m. yesterday morning, residents in the area heard several burst of gun fire but just disregarded it.

When a resident happened to pass by the crime scene, he saw the victim on the ground.

He immediately reported it to the police who immediately went to the crime scene.
