Learning about investments with earnest.ph
THE TECH CIRCUIT - Yasunari Ramon Suarez Taguchi (The Freeman) - February 5, 2020 - 12:00am

The executive officers of the Metropolitan Bank and Trust Company – popularly known as Metrobank – hosted a media gathering last January 31 to provide updates on the bank’s developments and ongoing programs and initiatives.

One of the topics discussed during the gathering was the recent activation of earnest.ph – a site that’s dedicated to educate visitors on the fundamentals of saving and investing.

Launched late last year, the site (which is currently on beta) contains various explainers about saving, investments and investing.

As it is aimed for the perusal of the Filipino depositor or investor, the site’s explainers are written as guides to the banking ecosystem in the Philippines – priming discussions on how to start investing, what the practical points of mutual funds are, when to start a feeder fund and more as relevant and timely.

More information about saving and investing is hosted in the site – earnest.ph.

2nd Legion concept store in the country opens in Cebu

Legion – the dedicated gaming brand of Lenovo – had the opening of the brand’s first concept store in Cebu on January 31.

Located at the 2nd level Cyberzone in SM City Cebu, the store carries the brand’s current range of gaming rigs, accessories and peripherals – covering HD displays, gaming laptops, tower chassis, gaming keyboards, headsets, mice and more.

More than a space where Legion’s top-of-the-line products are made available to gamers, the store aims to foster camaraderie among Cebuano gamers by organizing monthly tourneys and gaming events.

The store is the second Legion concept store to open in the Philippines and its opening was timed with 3rd anniversary of the Legion brand.
