CEBU, Philippines — From 40 auditionees, 21 moved on to be trained for boot camp. In the end, Talisay City, Cebu’s Jehramae Trangia was hailed Grand Superstar in the second edition of Viva Entertainment’s reality artista search, “Born to Be a Star.”

In last night’s Final Concert, the 18-year-old gave another heartfelt rendition, this time for I Belong to the Zoo’s “Sana.” For that final performance, Star Agents Andrew E, Sam Concepcion, Georcelle Dapat-Sy, Janine Tenoso and Katrina Velarde declared her the best among the two other finalists: Jannah Faye Bocatiya of Manila and Hans Paronda of Antipolo City.

Trangia, a Tingog ng Talisaynon 2019 winner and Sinulog Idol 2020 champion, will now be based in Manila as Viva plots out her career. She hopes to follow in the path of Pop Royalty Sarah Geronimo, at the same time, pursue an Accountancy course if time permits.

The young singer told The FREEMAN that the entire experience, plus mentoring from the show’s coaches and judges taught her a valuable lesson on waiting for one’s God-appointed time to shine amidst all the rejections and losses that she faced as a “kontesera.”
