‘That Filipina magic’

CEBU, Philippines - This was how the Miss Universe official Facebook page captioned a photo of three Filipina beauty queens, including its reigning title-holder Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach.
Joining Pia (who captioned their photo with ‘Squad Goals’) in that special Saturday photo shoot was recently crowned Miss International Kylie Verzosa and Miss World 2013 Megan Young. The pictorial is for the book “Making of a Queen” produced by beauty queen maker Jonas Gaffud of Aces & Queens.
Gaffud is the mentor of Megan, Pia and Kylie as well as other Pinay beauties who’ve made a mark in international beauty contests such as Miss Universe runners-up Venus Raj, Shamcey Supsup and Janine Tugonon.
“Making of a Queen” is scheduled to be released in February 2017.
Still on its Facebook page, the Miss Universe organization further called the gorgeous trio “empowering women.”
Pia is currently in the country to grace the Miss Universe 2016 kick-off event last Saturday, while Kylie just returned from Japan and has been enjoying homecoming events and victory parades in her honor. Megan, meanwhile, has been kept busy with her GMA-7 primetime series “Alyas Robin Hood” as one of Dingdong Dantes’ leading ladies and with her upcoming film “My Might Yaya” with Ai Ai delas Alas.
