Winzen’s Cafe: A coffee shop for a cause

CEBU, Philippines —  As Cebu’s ‘coffee culture’ continues to thrive with coffee shops sprouting just about everywhere, Winzen’s Café takes the trend a notch higher by supporting local artists. 

Café proprietor and neophyte politician Wince Dela Fuente said Winzen’s Café embodies the "Four C’s - Cozy, Classic, Coffee, and Culture."

Dela Fuente, who was recently elected as the Sangguniang Kabataan chairman of Barangay South Poblacion in the City of Naga, Cebu, expressed that the coffee shop's core identity revolves around these four elements.

He said that in the future, their coffee shop will be featuring regional artists especially from Cebu to help promote the Cebuano culture.

Wince, supported by his business-minded parents Katherine and Winley, is a young entrepreneur who wants to make a difference and make an impact especially towards the youth.

The family of this 21-year-old Computer Science student from the University of the Philippines-Cebu is into customs brokerage, land banking, importing and trading.

Located in Barangay South Poblacion, City of Naga, Cebu, Winzen’s Café’s quality blends are pegged at P60 to P120.

“If you are a coffee lover who has been drinking coffee in Cebu City unya mahal, pero og makatilaw mo sa among coffee diri, maka-ingon gyud mo nga equally at par ra gyud ang quality but mas affordable ang among coffee diri,” says Wince. Together with Winzen’s Cafe Ambassadress, Miss Bohol 2023 Kyra Rei Hopkins, Wince called on all coffee lovers to come and have a taste of their quality coffee in various blends in a price that is relatively affordable. After its grand opening on November 27, 2023, Wince Café is open every Monday to Saturday from 10am to 12 midnight.
