CEBU, Philippines —  Global Shapers Cebu announced the opening of “Cebootcamp 2021,” a flagship project that aims to provide jobs for affected tourism workers.

Cebootcamp is an initiative that helps displaced workers in the hospitality and tourism industry find online freelancing job opportunities.

In a statement, Global Shapers Cebu said that due to COVID-19 many companies started transitioning to a work-from-home setup and became more open to hiring individual contractors or freelancers to sustain operations.

Cebootcamp by Global Shapers Cebu gathers seasoned freelancing experts and reputable business professionals to share over a series of public online webinars, their expertise, and tips on how to thrive in the world of online freelancing, especially during the pandemic.

The webinar sessions is being held starting May 8 and May 15, 2021.

Last May 8, 2021 the Cebootcamp covered topics like; Freelancing in 2021 and The Ultimate Freelancing Toolbox.

This coming May 15, 2021, discussions will focus on Freelancing Hacks (You Should Know About); Sustaining Your Freelancing Career; and Resiliency in the COVID-19 Pandemic.
