A suspected leader of a notorious kidnap-for-ransom gang was killed while two of his alleged henchmen were arrested in a shootout in Cabuyao, Laguna yesterday.


A report reaching Camp Crame said Jugadong Mondrial, 37, said to be a leader of the Waray-Waray Abuyog Gang, was killed after he shot it out with lawmen.  


His two alleged cohorts, Roger Gonzaga, 23, and Jonald Karangalan, 27, were subsequently arrested.


Policemen encountered Mondrial’s group after they had robbed the MJ Junk Shop along Gizmo Road in Barangay Pulo.
