                    [Title] => Lloyd Umali returns
                    [Summary] => It is unfortunate that Lloyd Umali does not write songs. It would be interesting to find out what he should be able to come up with given the fact that he is the grandson of the great composer Restie Umali, who was responsible for Saan Ka Man Naroroon, Paano Kita Lilimutin and other classics. Truth to tell, it even seems like he was not initially set on making a career in music for instead of going to the conservatory, he chose to be a nurse, which as everybody knows makes for a more stable existence.

Original songs do take a while to sink in. Why do you think record producers enjoy doing remakes of oldies? Audience recall makes them better sellers. But if you have the time, it would be worth your while to spend time listening to new compositions. The worse that can happen is you will find something you will not care to hear again. At best you will find little gems that with time will grow into big ones, such as the songs contained in the new album of the group Toy Symphony.
