"It is still our obligation to see to it that a major infrastructure would not be held vulnerable to criminal or terrorist attacks. So, I deployed our troops to secure the mass transport system," said Querol in an interview.

The 150 policemen were from the NCRPO’s Regional Special Action Unit (RSAU) under Superintendent Roberto Villanueva.
