Under Pimentel’s proposed Magna Carta for Barangays, a barangay chairman will be paid a salary equivalent to the monthly income of a city or municipal councilor.
The barangay council members, including the Sanggunian Kabataan chairman, will also get salaries. The same goes for the barangay and SK secretaries and treasurers.
