ZAMBOANGA CITY – A municipal treasurer was gunned down last Tuesday by two suspected hit men of the New People’s Army (NPA) in Zamboanga del Sur, police said.


The victim, Hener Rucha, 55, treasurer of Lakewood, a known rebel-infested town, was driving his motorcycle in Barangay Picanan, Kumalarang town when he was shot with caliber .45 pistols, said Senior Superintendent Ramon Ochotorena, Zamboanga del Sur police director.
