Vice President Noli de Castro will grace the holding of the 32nd Al-Qur''an Reading Competition scheduled today at the Cebu Coliseum along Sanciangko Street, Cebu City.

The holding of the annual competition is a project of the Office of Muslim Affairs in line with the enhancing of Muslim culture. Also, it is a form of paying homage to the Qur''an, which Muslims believe are the words of Allah.

The theme of the event "Al-Qur''an a Torch for Humanity" was aptly chosen for it "brings to fore the universality of mankind''s quest for peace and harmony."
