[Summary] => Export earnings from the country’s ecozones rose by a notable 27 percent to P20.025 billion for the whole of 2000 from P15.808 billion in 1999, the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) reported over the weekend.
Ecozones operated by the government contributed P7.292 billion to the total, or a robust 33-percent expansion from the 1999 income of P5.490 billion.
In particular, the Bataan Economic Zone posted a P674.59- million income in 2000, up P245.49 million from the previous year’s P429.10 million.
