Erlito was eventually arrested by the police.

Initial investigation conducted by P/Insp. Francisco Baguio and PO3 William Homoc of the Homicide Section of the Lapu-Lapu City police revealed that Ellsinger has long been suffering from stomach pains and was taking several medicines.
