A 30-year-old man landed in the hospital after he was accidentally shot by his mother during a heated altercation Saturday afternoon in sitio Lang-Lang, barangay Cogon Cruz, Danao City.


Police identified the victim as Julius Peñas, jobless and a resident of the place.    


Initial police investigation revealed that at about 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, the victim was having a heated argument with his mother, Erma, who took a handgun supposedly to scare him.
