Caraga deputy police director Reinerio Camins identified the suspects as Vicente Salon, Rolando Ochavillo, Melquiades Apole, Lorenzo Apole, Estrella Apole, Rolando Apole, Juvel Apole and Renato Apole.

The eight suspects are now detained at the Surigao del Sur provincial jail in Tandag town.
