However, the GSIS has released P27, 904,653 representing 42 housing units only out of this year's target of 221 units, said Mitos Galicinao Special Business Division and Information Officer of the GSIS here.
Galicinao further said "the GSIS has done all it can to provide for the housing needs of the public sector, however, there are several factors why availments of the housing loans are low," Galicinao explained.

Sa complaint affidavit ni Garcia, tahasang inakusahan nito si Rep. Suplico na tumiba umano ng P175,000,000 sa pamamagitan ng panggigipit sa Kimberly Clark Phils. Inc. (KCPI) upang mapilitan ang naturang kumpanya na bilhin ang lupa sa San Pedro, Laguna na pag-aari ng pamilya ng asawa ni Suplico.
Ang kaso ay nag-ugat sa isang House resolution noong Marso 9, 2004 matapos magpatawag ng isang congressional inquiry si Suplico laban sa Kimberly Clark dahil sa umano’y paglabag sa environmental laws.
Sinabi ni Garcia na inihain ang resolusyon matapos aprubahan ng National Water Resources Board (NWRB) ang aplikasyon ng Kimberly Clark para sa permit ng industrial water service.
